BENGALURU, INDIAAN ENGINEER’S FIELD NOTES / 2026

Returns.
Integrations.
The in-between.

I’m Anirudh. I’ve built the software behind retail returns, connected workplace apps, and moved live systems to the cloud. I like getting into the details that make separate parts work together.

Different systems.
Hands-on work.

From a returns dashboard to the integrations behind workplace accounts. A few chapters in how I learned to build.

Moving a returns platform while it was running.

Worked on the core application for returns across online and in-store purchases. Helped move it from on-premises servers to Azure, containerize the application, and migrate its live database. Contributed to Project Glass, bringing grocery and general merchandise returns together.

Things I stopped
to write down.

A query that didn’t behave as expected. A search for a better editor. Older notes, kept with their original dates.

04 / A LITTLE CONTEXT

I tend to ask
one more question.

How is the data actually ordered? What happens when an account changes? How do you move a database that people are still using?

Those are the kinds of questions my work keeps bringing me back to. I enjoy following them through the interface, the application, and the systems underneath.

I’m based in Bengaluru and studied Computer Science and Engineering at Birla Institute of Technology, graduating in 2019. I’ve been writing about what I’m learning since my student days.

What are you
working through?

A stubborn integration, a system in transition, or something you’re building from scratch. I’d like to hear about it.
